Chief’s Preface
The ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Police Department (Department) policy manual is based on federal and state laws, regulations, and law enforcement best practices. The policy manual serves as a resource for all members of the Department and is the benchmark for our actions. Policies herein support the Department’s vision, mission, and organizational values. The successful fulfillment of our mission depends on members of the Department demonstrating a thorough understanding and adherence to Department policies whenever possible.
The Chief of Police shall be considered the ultimate authority for the content of
the policy manual. The Chief of Police may temporarily or permanently amend, revoke,
or issue policies and Administrative Announcements as circumstances dictate, and/or
when such actions are in the best interest of ÍøÆسԹÏ. Administrative
Announcements shall remain in effect until they are permanently incorporated into
department policy or revoked.
The ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Police Department takes pride in our efforts
to provide for a safe and secure university environment. Department members will consistently
strive to uphold our organizational values while serving our community.
